STOPSHOP - Patch it!  Don't trash it!  Help save the planet!

It may seem pretty harmless to purchase new clothing, but our consumer habits are contributing dramatically to climate change.  The average American buys 68 pieces of clothing per year.  Meanwhile, approximately 12.8 million tons of textiles land up in U.S. landfills, including about half of the fast fashion purchases made in the year.   Across the world, textile production creates more than 1.2 billion tonnes of greenhouse gases (C02e) annually, which is more than all international flights and maritime shipping combined.

According to the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, the current goal is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by about 43% compared to 2019 levels by 2030, in order to limit temperature rise to 1.5 degrees Celsius by the end of the century.

So why not try and make our clothes last longer to help out?
